LOCAL COMPANY WINS TWO PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL AWARDS

Chester-based Capital Incentives & Motivation, the leading incentive and motivation specialist, has won two categories at the prestigious Motivation Awards 2005.

The Awards, presented at the Royal Kensington Hotel in London, are the only awards that are dedicated to recognising excellence and creativity in motivating staff and customers.

Capital Incentives won two Motivation Awards for the following campaigns:

Severn Trent Water – Saying Thanks

Winner of the Best Employee Recognition Programme category

Severn Trent Water wanted to recognise employee achievements, specifically relating recognition and rewards to improving customer service as well as increasing individual motivation and job satisfaction levels.

Capital Incentives developed ‘Saying Thanks,’ a flexible chequebook-based incentive. Saying Thanks chequebooks were issued to managers, who were able to write cheques for £25 to £250 in recognition of the contribution of individual employees to improving customer service.  The cheque was then presented to the employee with a personal letter of thanks.

The rewards had to appeal to over 6,000 employees and Capital Bonds vouchers were chosen as they offer a high level of choice.  The vouchers can be spent at over 120 high street stores including Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Comet, HMV, Thresher, Argos, WHSmith, Homebase and BHS.

Overall, the scheme strengthened manager/employee relationships, improved customer service levels reported to the industry regulator and increased the individual ‘feel good’ factor among employees.

Inchcape UK - PAG Challenge

Winner of the Best Limited Expenditure Programme category

Inchcape UK is an automotive solutions provider, which encompasses a range of businesses including vehicle logistics, contract hire and leasing and vehicle retailing.

Inchcape wanted a short sharp incentive to clear stocks of used vehicles from sites and required a programme that would reward achievement against target and boost sales, while keeping within a restricted budget of £13,900.

Capital Incentives developed the Premier Auto Group Challenge, which involved a network of dealerships and franchises selling Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo.  Each dealership was assigned a sales target and there were separate competitions for sales executives, dealerships and franchises.

A dedicated website was developed, which could be accessed by the participants, and the leagues were represented by a race track, with the finishing line denoting 100 per cent of achievement of target.  The rewards on offer were Capital Experiences and Capital Bonds vouchers, which are redeemable in high street stores and at leisure outlets.

The Challenge produced a 73 per cent improvement in sales performance.

Graham Povey, Managing Director of Capital Incentives, said, “It is a real boost to the team and a great testimonial to the services we provide that we have been recognised as an innovative supplier who is committed to the achievement of superior results for our clients.”
