Company History We provide client companies with an ever-expanding range of incentive awards and services. The company's incentive and motivation programmes are designed, administered and managed in-house by a team of over 100 staff.
2006 2006 sees the launch of the new Compliments Passport travel voucher which provides a hassle-free way for companies to offer the ultimate motivator – a travel reward.
Launch of new Compliments Card, an incentive gift card that offers the largest number of participating retailers, is affordable and available in a range of off-the-shelf designs.
2005 Capital Incentives launches a brand new company image to promote their extensive portfolio of products and services. In conjunction with the new company look, Capital Bonds are also redesigned to incorporate the latest security features. Also in 2005 the number of national retailers accepting Capital Bonds rises from 120 to 140.
2004 On 4 June 2004, Capital Incentives & Motivation, became part of Accor, a worldwide group, which has 147,000 employees in 140 countries and is the European leader in travel, tourism and services, and one of the largest groups offering these services worldwide.
Capital Incentives joined the Accor Services Division, a global provider of employee benefits that help to meet the growing demand for greater productivity and employee motivation and well-being.
Accor Services also has a Relationship Marketing division called Accentiv' that specialises in motivation and loyalty programmes in 10 countries around the world. Their campaigns incorporate gift vouchers and cards, gift catalogues and gifts, incentive trips and loyalty cards, which complement Capital Incentives' own product portfolio.
2003 Capital Incentives launches 2 new incentive solutions: Synergis, an incentive management programme; and Rollercoaster, an exciting scratch card package.
2000 October 2000 marks the beginning of a new era following the management buyout of Capital Incentives from the Bank of Scotland.
1999 Capital Incentives' Travel and Event Management division is formed and expands to offer a wider range of services including conferences, product launches, corporate hospitality, event days and exhibition management, in addition to incentive travel. Capital World Travel is adopted as the name of a new ABTA retail travel operation, formed to operate staff or customer travel clubs on behalf of our clients and to provide individual travel as an incentive award. Company turnover exceeds £40 million.
1998 The Capital Card is re-launched as the Incentive Award Card with added features including the ability to personalise the Card with a client's own unique design. Capital Incentives relocates to new, purpose-built premises on Chester's prestigious business park.
1997 'Choices', a selection of the UK's leading retail gift vouchers, is introduced to supplement the retailers who accept Capital Bonds, providing award recipients with a choice of over 40,000 retail outlets. Company turnover exceeds £30 million.
1995 Capital Experiences, a range of over 100 exciting activities and events, is added to the award portfolio.
1994 Capital Incentives launches the Capital Card, the UK's first Visa debit card. as a highly prestigious alternative award to vouchers. Company turnover exceeds £20 million.
1990 Company turnover exceeds £10 million.
1989 A new incentive travel division, Capital World Travel, is formed to enhance the range of awards and provide motivational travel experiences for clients' top performers.
1986 Range of client support services is expanded to include research, consultancy, incentive programme administration and programme communications, creating the foundations of a full service performance improvement agency.
1984 Capital Incentives established as a wholly owned subsidiary of NWS Bank, a member of the Bank of Scotland Group. Capital Bonds are launched as a multi-option gift voucher for use by clients as a flexible, non-cash incentive award.
